Jim Baker

Jim BakerMarried to Karn with three girls: Marin and her husband Brady Maciver, Megan and her husband Eirik Kettering, Melissa Baker and one grandchild Tatum Maciver.

I was born into a Christian home and have been a member and involved in the church since birth. I don’t really have a specific day or place I can reference as it has been more of an ongoing experience for me. However, there was I sermon I heard on Father’s Day 1979 that lead me to study theology and religion on the collegiate level. I have had some very special moments in my life on the trips I have taken to Israel. It is my belief that the Holy Spirit has called me through the gospel, enlightened me with His gifts and has sanctified and keep me in the one true faith. Daily I have to realize and confess that I am a sinner and need Christ every moment of my life.

I am a rancher and am involved in the American Hereford Association. I am also a Gideon, as well as a graduate of the Hospital Chaplaincy program at St. Luke’s Hospital.

I am passionate about wanting the best for my family and the world and that best is Jesus Christ. He is the only hope we have. I would like to use the rest of my days on this earth to serve the Lord and be led by Him. I like to travel, fish and go ATVing. I also like to spend time out at the ranch. I would like people to know that I am excited to see how God will continue to be at work through BigHorn Canyon Church and to be a part of that work.
